Hi everyone, I’m Xiangjia Bai, a PhD candidate at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, supervised by Prof. Mao.
My research focuses on rhombohedral graphene systems, including naturally stacked intrinsic rhombohedral structures and rhombohedral-like heterostructures artificially constructed from tiny-angle twisted graphene. I am particularly interested in flat-band physics and the emergent strongly correlated quantum states, such as correlated insulating states, half-metallic states, and quarter-metallic states.
I work with a Unisoku USM1300 scanning tunneling microscope. Friends and colleagues interested in related topics are very welcome to contact me for discussion.
